Do you have both Medicare and Medicaid? You likely qualify for a Dual-Eligible Special Needs Plan (D-SNP), a plan that gives you extra coverage you won’t receive with Original Medicare. You are eligible for a D-SNP when you have both Medicare, a federal government program, and Medicaid, a state-run service. You can learn more about Medicare and Medicaid if you’re not sure which program you qualify for.

Benefits in Dual-Eligible Medicare Plans

Our D-SNPs give you dental, vision, hearing and prescription drug coverage. Make sure to check your area for specific coverage, as it can vary from state to state. But typically, a routine teeth cleaning or eye exam and preventive care screenings won’t cost you anything.

Preventive care benefits help you maintain your health, especially if you catch issues early on while they are easy to treat. That’s why preventive care is so important for your long-term health. Take the flu shot for an example. If you get a flu shot, you’ll lower your chances of catching the flu. And, if you do contract the flu, you’re less likely to have serious flu-related problems if you had the shot.
